In the footsteps of the great violinists

From simple discovery to deepening, COLLEGES allow music lovers to enrich their knowledge. Each cycle offers a series of lectures where music – popular or scholarly – is approached in its historical, sociological and aesthetic context.

Pioneers, off the beaten track, to conquer the stage, these musicians are part of the history of music and performance despite a perceptible invisibility. This college will take us on a journey through several centuries of music thanks to the repertoires of various horizons and aesthetics that they have played, “rewritten” or discovered, and whose recordings of the time and today are winning legend. More than a mark of the interpretation that would be typically feminine, it is first of all a matter of showing how much these women have made an essential contribution to musical and societal history through their original approach to the score and their personal approach to to the demands of fame.
